  • The land where the fields are contemplated was purchased in 1955 “for school uses”
  • This location gives Concord the best “bang for its buck”
    • No land purchase necessary
    • Utilities and related infrastructure are already in place
    • Additional parking can be used by school even when fields aren’t used
  • The fields would be on high ground, 50 feet above the water table – this is rare in Concord!
  • Only at the High School will it be possible to have these new fields used during the school day for gym classes, immediately after school for interscholastic and intramural sports; and during nights and weekends for community recreation.
